Variable Set String from File should use the SaveAs file picker control |

We had a discussion on the forum awhile back about how the Variable Set String – File Name doesn’t work if the file doesn’t exist. The reason was that you’re using a Windows common control and it is what it is. I’m learning a little VB now and I see what you mean and the more I know about Macro Express and programming the more I suspect that most of the programming functionality is just passing thru what you can do with Delphi. So if this is the case I was thinking one could create another version of the Var Set String that would use the SaveAs control instead of the file picker. I can’t remember if we thought of this before or even if I’ve already suggested it but I thought I would ask you what you thought before I made a feature request. | |
