One tool the we frequently use at use at Bluepoint Design is Macro Express. We have found it a powerful application which allows one to create macros for general Windows application in automation. This is a distinct advantage over macro capabilities that are often built into applications as it's scope is only limited to Windows, not just the application. Also it's nice to only have to learn one macro language. It's very powerful and offers some very basic programming capabilities as well as cool tools like an integrated email and FTP utility.
